Texts for Vets

The Texts for Vets Program at Carson-Newman University was created to assist veterans, military, and eligible dependents overcome the financial burden of purchasing textbooks. Texts are donated at the end of each semester and placed in the Veterans Center. Due to the limited number of textbooks, we distribute them out based on a first-come first-served basisWE DO NOT SHIP BOOKS! These texts are designated for veterans, active duty, reservists, national guardsmen, retirees, ROTC students, and family members.

If you need a textbook for class and can’t afford to buy one, please check out the list of books in the Veterans Center. You can also find the list of available textbooks on the virtual Office of Military and Veteran Services located on the university’s learning management system CANVAS. See one of the student workers or the Director of Military and Veteran Services to sign out a book. Books are due back during finals week each semester.

If you have any textbooks that you no longer use, please think of helping out your fellow students by donating those textbooks to the Veterans Center. Remember this program is FREE and funded completely by donations.
