As a community of Christ followers, Campus Ministries promotes aspects of our university that offer students dedicated time in the Word of God and educating them on what it means to be shaped by God’s truth both now and for the future God has for them.
Chapel/ CLWs — Weekly chapel services on Tuesday morning offer all university students, faculty and staff an opportunity for corporate worship, prayer and study of God’s word. The Community Life and Worship Program provides student-focused events which integrate faith, gospel-centered ministry, global missions, education and community for students, faculty and staff. All full-time undergraduate students are required to attend 10 Community Life and Worship (CLW) events per semester. All 10 can be in chapel but at least five must include Chapel services (Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. or select Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m.).
Small Groups and Chaplains — Every student has a place to connect with others in small groups offered at on-campus locations or online. In addition, every residence life facility has an assigned student chaplain who offers bible studies, prayer and general counsel. Small groups exist to help students reach their full potential as devoted followers of Christ and worldwide servant-leaders. These are circles of 3-10 students meeting regularly to study God’s Word, bear one another’s burdens, serve together and practice hospitality by welcoming every student, the curious, the doubting and the believing into an atmosphere of acceptance, unity and shared spiritual growth, from a first encounter with Christ to devoted following of Him.
Faith-Based Organizations — A variety of faith-based student groups exist on campus in cooperation with Campus Ministries. Student led groups like BCM, FCA, RUF, Nations1, Yoke and Young Life allow students to lead faith-based communities among peers and assisting faculty or staff sponsors.
Mission and Service Opportunities — To impact the world, our students have a variety of ways to serve locally and globally through service and mission opportunities during the academic year.
