Receiving my undergraduate degree from Carson-Newman University meant that I was prepared professionally, having received a world-class Christian liberal arts education and prepared spiritually, as I was prayed for and over during my time as a Carson-Newman student. My undergraduate work has prepared me well to meet the challenges that exist today and that lie ahead and has impacted the way in which I teach, lead, and serve those in my community- with sincerity in my words and intentionality in my actions.
My MBA experience at Carson-Newman allowed me to get my degree at a pace that worked for me. Balancing a full-time job and a newborn at the time, my professors worked with me and C-N worked with me to pause and quickly pick back up my studies without missing a beat. I had been out of school for a while, but I became a better writer, a better leader, and gained confidence in the workplace that I didn’t have before.
