If you are ready to begin the journey of a Carson-Newman Adventurer, apply for Carson-Newman’s Interdisciplinary Study Abroad program! Download and follow the directions in the Application form.

What You’ll Need

  1. Application form (accepting applications until Feb. 2, 2023, or until spots are filled)
  2. Study Abroad essay
    1. In no more than three pages, explain
      1. Why you wish to go on this adventure
      2. How this program will help you to become an educated citizen and worldwide servant-leader and
      3. What makes you qualified to participate in this program (Please note whether you have visited these countries or have any experience speaking any of the languages relevant to our trip).
      4. Attach as PDF. Label your document using the following structure: Last Name, First Name — Study Abroad Essay.

    1. Ask each reference to complete this form
      1. One personal
      2. One professional
  4. Interview
    1. Acceptance will be determined following a 30-minute interview with the two faculty travelers — Dr. Stephanie Welsh and Dr. Nathan West (see Our Adventurers for more information).
  5. Down Payment: $500
    1. Due upon acceptance
    2. Refundable until February 3, 2023
