1975 Graduate of Carson-Newman College with a B.S.in Elementary Education. (1-9)

Received my M.S. in Educational Psychology & Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, TN in 1979.

Retired High School Counselor and Chairman of the Counseling Department (Morristown-Hamblen High School West)

Hometown - Oak Ridge, TN Current residence - Morristown, TN

I graduated from Carson Newman in 1975
An unusual memory while at CNC: I retrieved my bicycle out of Philo Hall during the burning of Henderson Hall in January 1974 with members of the Philomathean Literary Society carrying out of the fire a 6 legged baby grand piano, 37 chairs, the president's chair and a gavel stone and stand (that were saved from the 1916 fire of the Henderson/Administration Building).

Began employment as a licensed school counselor until my retirement as a High School Counselor at Morristown West H.S. (TN) in 2006.

I have been employed in the summer since 1979 as a motor coach tour director with Knoxville Tours, which has allowed me the privilege and opportunity of traveling in all 50 states, all provinces of Canada and Mexico.

I am now in my 9th year as the Senior Academic Advisor/Counselor for the Student Success Center.

I meet and talk with students individually about a variety of issues that relate to being successful in college and work especially with those that having difficulty with maintaining a good GPA.

I am so blessed to be back at my alma mater that I have always dearly loved.
