“And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8
The Six8 Scholars Program at Carson-Newman University invites students into a transformative journey of faith-driven action, preparing them to become educated citizens and world-wide servant leaders who make a meaningful impact in the world. Grounded in Scripture and inspired by Micah 6:8, the program challenges students to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God through intentional community service and spiritual formation rooted in Christlike servant leadership.
Six8 Scholars engage in purposeful learning and hands-on service, completing 25 hours of biblical servant leadership development and 50 hours of community service each semester. Through mentorship, reflection, and active service, students both experience and grow in what it means to serve others while faithfully walking with God each day.Students selected as Six8 Scholars receive a $2,500 annual scholarship toward tuition at Carson-Newman, along with meaningful opportunities for service and faith development through the Six8 Program. Scholars are chosen through a competitive application and interview process conducted during the year prior to matriculation.
