Transcript & Diploma Request

Transcripts

Carson-Newman University uses Parchment to accept Official Transcript orders over the Internet.

Unofficial transcripts are issued to students only and are available to current students on MyCN.  Copies cannot be issued to employers, colleges, parents, etc. If you are a non-current student requesting an unofficial transcript, please click the link below.

If you are presently attending C-N:

You may request an Official Transcript electronically at the above link or by completing the
request form in the Office of the Registrar, Room 303 in the Fite Building.

If you have a transcript sent to yourself once you open the envelope the transcript is NO LONGER OFFICIAL.

All transcript requests must be approved by the Student Accounts Office. Please allow 5 business days to process your request. All financial holds must be cleared before a transcript can be released. Other holds will prevent the release of a transcript. Therefore, ensure all holds are removed from your account before requesting a transcript.

Transcript Price Changes Effective January 2023:

  • E-transcript: $12
  • USPS: $15
  • USPS Canada & Mexico: $15
  • USPS International: $15

Changes to Shipping Charges Effective January 2023: (these are additional fees to the cost above)

  • USPS: $0
  • USPS Canada & Mexico: $5.40
  • USPS International: $5.40
  • FedEx Domestic: $32
  • FedEx International: $58

Transcript Expedited Delivery Timeline:

After the Carson-Newman processes the transcript, and if expedited delivery was selected, (we use FedEx Standard Overnight Delivery for expedited delivery), it will be delivered the next business day (as long as we receive your transcript by 2pm Mountain Standard Time*). If the sending school processes the order after 2pm MST, it will take an extra business day to be delivered.

FedEx does not deliver on Saturdays/Sundays. FedEx does not deliver to PO Boxes, so be sure to track your FedEx order.

Learners will receive an email when we ship the transcript. The email will have a FedEx tracking number on it. They can click on this number to go to the FedEx web page that tells them exactly where their transcript is.

International FedEx

If the transcript is sent outside of the United States and expedited delivery was selected, we will send it using FedEx International Priority, which delivers typically in 1 to 3 business days.


Diploma Reorders

There is a 14-to-18-day processing time before the expedited delivery time kicks in.

After the diploma has been printed by Parchment, and if expedited delivery was selected, (Parchment uses FedEx Standard Overnight Delivery for expedited delivery), it will be delivered the next business day. If the request was processed after 2pm MST, it will take an extra business day to be delivered.
