category: Athletics Farler named head coach of C-N Disc Golf category: Athletics | September 29, 2025 Carson-Newman University has announced Chase Farler as the new head coach of its disc golf program. Farler joins the C-N Intercollegiate Recreational Sports staff after graduating from Milligan University where he competed in disc golf. Chase Farler “Disc Golf is a rapidly growing sport with a strong presence in East Tennessee,” said Hunter Sales, director of C-N’s Intercollegiate Recreational Sports. “We are excited to begin rewarding high-level high school disc golfers with scholarship money and an environment that helps them grow as a person and as an athlete.”The Carson-Newman team has access to its own 18-hole tournament-level course. Opening in fall 2023, the David W. Barger Disc Golf Course traverses historic Mossy Creek located on campus.
