Dependent Special Circumstance Appeal Form – Please complete this form along with supporting documentation if you have suffered a loss of income. Please note that Verification is required to be completed before any appeal will be considered. Verification paperwork is attached to the Special Circumstances Appeal form. Be sure to complete the Verification pertaining to your dependency status as on your FAFSA. If you have already cleared Verification in our office, you do not need to fill that part of the paperwork out again.
Keep in mind that in order to submit a Special Circumstance Appeal for the 2025-26 academic year, the 2024 taxes must be complete to attach to the appeal, and the student must have already received his/her original aid offer.

Dependency Override Appeal Application – A student may need to request an override to their dependency status due to unusual and unavoidable circumstances. A Dependency Status Appeal Application is considered on a case-by-case basis depending on the situation and supporting documentation provided.
