category: Campus News University hosts renowned author, cultural critic and alumnus Michael Eric Dyson category: Campus News | April 25, 2016 (April 25, 2016)– Best-selling author and 1985 alumnus Dr. Michael Eric Dyson returned to his alma mater on April 21 to speak, visit with students and to catch-up with former professors and friends. Dyson’s visit coincided with the University’s year-long observance “A Simple Justice: The Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act.” The celebration began last August.
