Established in 2013, the Eagle Scholars Award Ceremony recognizes and celebrates the academic achievements of our student athletes. In 12 years, the program has grown from its inaugural class of 72, to honoring 314 student athletes for their exceptional academic success in 2024.
To become an Eagle Scholar, student athletes must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Eagle Scholars are recognized on three GPA levels:• Traditional Scholar – 3.25+ GPA• Gold Scholar – 3.75+ GPA• Platinum Scholar – 4.0 GPA
Recipients receive a patch designated to their scholar level to wear on their uniforms during regular season competitions and a certificate acknowledging their academic achievement. They are recognized before their teammates, friends, coaches, and family at the annual Eagle Scholars Awards Ceremony held in the fall of the following academic year.
The Director’s Cup is presented to the top academic team on campus which best represents the values espoused by the Eagle Scholar Program as selected by the Eagle Scholar Committee. This award acknowledges the athletic team who personifies scholarship and athletic excellence. Past winners are listed below:
