The Christian Coaching certificate offers an introduction to counseling for the non-licensed Christian professional seeking to improve their skillset. This 12-credit hour graduate certificate, offered through the College of Professional Studies, seeks to supplement the work of pastors, ministers, or lay-persons in supporting the mental health needs of their church or organization.

The curriculum within our Christian Coaching program emphasizes faith-based coaching principles, ensuring that students can provide guidance that aligns with Christian values. By participating in this program, you will be equipped to foster holistic growth within your community, addressing both spiritual and mental health needs. If you are looking to better assist your church body, students, employees, etc., or if you simply wish to learn more, consider our Christian Coaching certification with courses in:

  • Completion time: 1 semester minimum
  • Cost: $475 per credit hour + $55 PCH tech fee (Financial Aid eligible with FAFSA completion)
  • Fully online, asynchronous courses
  • Credits earned can be applied to an eligible Carson-Newman graduate degree program
