Maria Bordt

Assistant Professor of Sociology

Maria Bordt attended Midway College, where she obtained a Bachelors of Art degree in English Literature. She received a Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University. She completed her doctoral training at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Her research interests include social theory, qualitative methods, gender, and counter-cultural groups. Maria enjoys riding trail horses and competing in horse shows locally. She is a Vol for Life and has two dogs named Rocky and Topper.
