People Amanda Ford Amanda Ford Associate Professor of History B.A., Carson-Newman University; M.A., Queens University, Belfast; Ph.D., University of Arkansas Dr. Ford is an Associate Professor in the History department, specializing in the British Empire. She teaches courses in European, African, and Middle Eastern history, along with World History I and II and the sophomore methods course, Research and Writing Essentials for Historians. She is the co-advisor of the History honor’s society, Phi Alpha Theta and the campus wide honor society, Alpha Chi. In her spare time you can find her explaining the latest scandal in the British royal family or watching the Golden Girls.
