Morgan named recipient of prestigious Jesse Baker Presidential Academic Fellowship

Morgan was named recipient of Carson-Newman’s prestigious Jesse Baker Presidential Academic Fellowship. She will attend the University, located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, in the fall.

During a March 21 signing ceremony, Carson-Newman University announced that Chloe Morgan, a senior at Sweetwater High School, is this year’s recipient of the school’s prestigious Jesse Baker Presidential Academic Fellowship.

Morgan, who attends Old Sweetwater Baptist Church, plans to major in nursing when she attends Carson-Newman in the fall. An active member of Sweetwater High School’s student body, she serves as class president, president of HOSA, president of Key Club, vice president of Student Council, along with roles in other student organization.

The Jesse Baker Presidential Academic Fellowship is a full scholarship to study at Carson-Newman and honors the University’s seventh president in name. The award is presented annually to one qualifying student who attends the University’s INSIGNIS Academic Scholarship Weekend. To attend the event, students must have at least a 3.65 GPA and at least a 28 super score on the ACT.
