Opened on November 1, 2024, West Campus Commons is the newest residence life complex on campus! Spanning 110,000 square feet and housing more than 520 students, this twin-building facility is the largest construction project in school history. West Campus Commons also includes multiple study areas, lounges, games and a market! In addition, West Campus Commons is located directly across from our new Recreation Park, which features two basketball courts, three beach volleyball courts, two pickleball courts, a soccer pitch and softball field. This is the place to be!
The new residence life complex is located on the west side of campus, adjacent to the Appalachian Commons student apartments complex and the Recreation Park.
The new twin-facility houses 524 beds and is connected by a two-story “Community Connector” building, where students can lounge, play games and study. This incredible, 110,000 sq. ft. facility is the largest construction project in our 170+ year history!
