Carson-Newman’s Women of Vision organization (WOV) honored Jefferson City’s Betty Catlett with the group’s distinguished service award during a recent donor recognition dinner held on the University’s campus. The dinner, held in Stokely Memorial Cafeteria, recognized numerous individuals for their support of the University. During the evening, Kay O’Brien, who serves as WOV’s president recognized Catlett for her dedicated service to the campus and the group. O’Brien, who is also the wife of C-N President Randall O’Brien, championed Catlett’s dedication to WOV. “She has been at every event, participated in everything we have done whether it is planting flowers in front of Swann or coming up with something beautiful for a tablescape or just being a part of the think-tank that has resulted in some wonderful things,” said O’Brien. “You can match her in love for this University but you cannot beat her.” The Women of Vision organization is a group of inspired women seeking to glorify God and further His kingdom by nurturing truth, enhancing beauty and enriching goodness through the Carson-Newman experience.
