Both graduates’ low median debt and better-than-average tuition prices helped Carson-Newman University land its solid ranking. Schools.com also recognizes the University’s dedication to student success by providing services such as career counseling and job placement. “Students and families searching for a four-year college are sometimes surprised to realize just how affordable our degree programs are,” said Dr. Paul Percy, C-N’s executive vice president and provost. “As a private, liberal arts university, Carson-Newman’s costs are competitive with area public institutions and, with the many scholarships and strong financial aid packages we offer, often can prove more cost-effective. Each institution was measured against 13 different criteria related to factors of affordability, student success, distance learning participation and more.
