Bush Brothers chairman to deliver Winter Commencement address

(Dec. 2, 2014) – Carson-Newman University will hold its Winter Commencement for undergraduates on Friday, Dec. 12 in Holt Fieldhouse. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. James Ethier, who serves as chair of the board for Bush Brothers & Company, will deliver the commencement address.

The University will hold its graduate ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of Jefferson City’s First Baptist Church. Dr. Bill Blevins, professor emeritus of counseling and 1959 alumnus, will be the evening’s speaker.

Carson-Newman University is a private, Christian liberal arts institution. Founded in 1851, Carson-Newman is located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, among the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The University has over 2,300 students and offers 50 undergraduate majors, as well as bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees.
