Atchley Repeats as Childress Scholar

For the second year in a row, Abbey Atchley, a member of the college honors program from Seymour, TN, has been awarded the Denver R. Childress Scholarship. The scholarship honors Professor Emeritus of Mathematics, Denver Childress, who served the college with distinction from 1967-2001. During that period, Dr. Childress was instrumental in developing our teacher education program, and the annual award goes to one of our majors who demonstrates outstanding potential for a career in the teaching profession.
