Omicron Delta Kappa chapter holds 2017 initiation ceremony

Carson-Newman University’s chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa welcomed new members for 2017. (April 27, 2017)—Carson-Newman University’s chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) inducted 20 new members during its initiation ceremony Thursday, April 27.

Members reelected Seth Jones president and Megan Blankenship vice president during the ceremony.

Initiates for 2017 include: Sierra Bevins, Madison Bowman, Kieran Braun, Anna Davenport, Leah Ennis, Kathryn King, Bailey Lohr, Taylor Lowe, Sarah Beth Maddox, Kathleen Mazza, Maggie Melhorn, Jessica Michael, Madeline Milliken, Ali Patterson, Sara Stair, Margaret Stansberry, Jake Starbuck, Abigail Strickland, Sheila Ware and Josh Winn.

Since its founding in 1914 at Washington and Lee University, Omicron Delta Kappa has emphasized superior scholarship, leadership and exemplary character for undergraduate students. The first college honor society of a national scope to honor meritorious leadership, extracurricular service and general campus leadership, the organization seeks to develop holistic leaders on campuses and throughout society.
