The concert will feature music from Broadway favorites such as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats” and Alan Menken’s “The Little Mermaid,” as well as fun takes on music from motion pictures such as “Jurassic Park” and “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” An after-party in the lobby of the Tarr Music Center will follow the concert, with concessions, games and contests. Guests can meet their favorite characters from the show after the performance. Money raised at the concert each year goes to benefit music programs in East Tennessee. This year funds will support Knoxville’s Joy of Music School, and the start of a percussion program at the Girls Club of Morristown. The event is open to the public. Admission is $2 for students and children and $5 for adults. Tarr Music Center is located along Russell Avenue on Carson-Newman’s campus.
