category: Campus News White to give Knoxville reading and book signing By Marketing and Communications On February 12, 2013 On Sunday, February 17, Dr. Bethany White, associate professor of English will give a reading and book signing at Union Avenue Books in Knoxville at 3:00 p.m. White is the author of “Fast Fat Girls in Pink Hot Pants.” The collection of poetry traces her travels as daughter, student, mother, artist, and academic above and below the Mason-Dixon Line. White joined C-N’s faculty in 2006. She earned her BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, before receiving an MA in creative writing from New York University. White earned her PhD in English from the University of Kentucky.
