University invites community to trick-or-treat at “BOOnett,” Oct. 26

(Oct. 19, 2017) –The ladies of Carson-Newman University’s Burnett Residence Hall invite families in the community to the annual “BOOnett” trick-or-treat event on Thursday, October 26 from 5-7 p.m.

“BOOnett” is a community-wide event planned and hosted by residents of Burnett Hall each year. It provides a safe and fun environment for children of all ages and their families to enjoy the fun of Halloween in one place.

“‘BOOnett’ is going to be a magical adventure full of spectacular decorations and exciting characters. The journey through some of children’s favorite adventures will end in a carnival that will be bigger than ever. The ladies of BOOnett and over a hundred wonderful volunteers work hard to make this event a night to remember for the children in our community,” said Kendra Ivins, residence life coordinator of Burnett Hall.

This year’s theme is “The Great Adventure,” with the halls decorated as different movie adventures. There will be games, food, and trick-or-treating from hall to hall. There will also be the opportunity to bring and donate canned goods that will be given to Appalachian Outreach.

Burnett Residence Hall is located along Russell Avenue on Carson-Newman’s campus. The event is free and open to the public.
