University and Jefferson County community welcome Chick-fil-A to campus

(Oct. 1, 2014) – Carson-Newman University, in partnership with Aramark, officially welcomed Chick-fil-A to campus during an October 1 Dedication Celebration. On hand for the event were members of the Carson-Newman community, as well as the Jefferson County community. Representatives from Aramark and Chick-fil-A were also on-hand.

“This has created a lot of excitement in Jefferson City,” said Jefferson City Mayor Mark Potts to those in attendance. “And we’re just so glad everyone has come out today.”

Carson-Newman President J. Randall O’Brien also spoke to those gathered for the event. “This is fun,” said O’Brien. “This is a partnership and a great partnership.” O’Brien thanked members of the community, Chick-fil-A and Aramark.

Chick-fil-A is located in the Maddox Student Activities Center located on the University’s campus.

The restaurant is open Monday – Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is also open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Public parking is available at the rear of the Center.
