People Pamela Rogers Pamela Rogers Associate Professor of Nursing Pam Rogers joined the nursing faculty at Carson-Newman in 2006. Pam received her BSN and MSN from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In 1981 she completed a neuroscience clinical specialist program in Houston, Texas and was instrumental in the development of neuroscience services within one of the area hospitals. Pam is an example of the diverse roles that one can have during a nursing career. She has served as a nurse manager, director of nursing, Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer within a hospital setting, and Chief Operating Officer for a home care company. In addition to her passion for nursing leadership and neuroscience nursing, Pam has extensive experience in health care of the elderly. Along with being licensed in nursing, Pam is a licensed nursing home administrator and has also served as administrator of a nursing home during her career. Pam attended the Johnson & Johnson-Wharton Fellowship Program in Management for Nurse Executives at the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. Pam assists in teaching nursing fundamentals and teaches in health care of the elderly. She is course coordinator and teaches the nursing leadership course.
