category: Campus News Omicron Delta Kappa inducts new members category: Campus News | May 13, 2014 Carson-Newman’s Omicron Delta Kappa (May 13, 2014)– Carson-Newman University’s Omicron Delta Kappa recently held an initiation ceremony for its newest members to the national leadership society. Bristol’s Sabrina Morris, a junior, was elected president following the induction ceremony. New initiates include: Brittany Bass, junior biology and secondary education major; Joe Bilotti, senior accounting major; Timothy Boone, junior psychology major; Cathy Bowery, junior early childhood education major; Bevan Brown, junior English and sociology (social entrepreneurship) major; Kelli Douglass, junior math and human services major; Mark Edwards (vice-president), junior biology major; Rachel Harper, junior physics major with pre-optometry; Hannah Kiser, junior exercise science major; E.G. Manley, senior music and psychology major; Lindsay Mayes, junior accounting major; Sabrina Morris (president), junior communications major; Alex Norwood, senior psychology major; Lauren Santarelli, junior history and secondary education major; Ashley Schrader, senior nursing major; Ashley Sullivan, senior theatre and human services major; Melody Watts, senior music education major; and Madison Wilburn, junior fashion merchandising and design major. Since its founding in 1914 at Washington and Lee University, Omicron Delta Kappa has emphasized superior scholarship, leadership and exemplary character for undergraduate students. The first college honor society of a national scope to honor meritorious leadership, extracurricular service and general campus leadership, the organization seeks to develop holistic leaders on campuses and throughout society. Carson-Newman’s chapter is co-advised by Dr. Laura Wadlington, chair of the University’s Psychology Department, and Nenette Measels, director of campus ministries.
