Mortar Board announces April 3, as “President-Student Swap Day”

(March 17, 2014)- On April 3, Carson-Newman’s Mortar Board will sponsor a unique opportunity for one lucky student. A “President-Student Swap Day” will allow one student to become the University’s president for the day, complete with meetings, hectic schedules, and key decision making. In return, Carson-Newman President Randall O’Brien will revisit his college days, attending class, hitting the books, hanging out in Stokely cafeteria, and other student activities. The event will help raise funds for Mortar Board’s 5k run for BOOST, afterschool program and other service projects.
