KON honor society chapter earns 25th Chapter of Excellence Award

(Sept. 14, 2016) – Carson-Newman University’s chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu (KON) Honor Society recently received its 25th Chapter of Excellence Award from the organization. Carson-Newman’s Kappa Beta Xi Chapter has received the honor more times than any chapter in the nation.

The chapter was also featured on the national KON website in August.

“It is so gratifying to see the outstanding work of faculty and students receive national recognition, bringing honor to our University and to Christian higher education,” said Dr. Kitty Coffey, chair of Carson-Newman’s Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Kappa Omicron Nu is the leading honor society for students in the human sciences. Kappa Omicron Nu chapters are located in colleges and universities that offer a strong human sciences program.
