Stone Table recording artist JJ Heller performed on Carson-Newman’s campus, Wednesday, April 17, along with her husband, Dave. Heller’s musical blend of Christian and folk-style, has garnered much attention in recent years with such songs as “Your Hands” and “What Love Really Means.”

Held in C-N’s Thomas Recital Hall, the concert featured several selections from Heller’s newest album, “Loved,” which was released in March.

Student Activities Director Brent McLemore, who was instrumental in inviting Heller to campus, says that Heller’s visit couldn’t come at a better time in the year. “The semester is starting to wind down and students are involved with projects and tests. To be able to slow down and take in a concert by JJ Heller, well, it just doesn’t get any better than that.”

The event was co-sponsored by Eagle Production Company and Residence Life. Since fall of 2011, Carson-Newman has hosted such artists as Todd Agnew, Caleb, LeCrae, John Mark McMillan, and country music legend Ricky Skaggs.
