Gear up for game one with Carson-Newman football pep rally

Eagle fans can get pumped up for Carson-Newman football’s opening game by attending a pep rally for the Eagles, August 29 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Burke-Tarr Stadium.

The festivities kick off with the Eagle War Walk and the 2012 edition of the Carson-Newman football team’s entrance on to the field. C-N head football coach will speak as will athletic director Allen Morgan.

Eagle fans will be able to participate in a punt, pass and kick competition, bash a car painted in Glenville State’s colors and have their faces painted by the Carson-Newman cheerleaders.

Light snacks will be provided.

The Eagles open up the season Thursday night, August 30 at 7 p.m., against Glenville State. Sparks will be coaching for his 300th career victory. In honor of Sparks’ career, historic game day programs will be sold for $3 on the day of the game.
