category: Campus News Fogg to present Oct. 7 solo recital at Carson-Newman University category: Campus News | September 30, 2014 (Sept. 30, 2014) – Carson-Newman University’s Dr. Ryan Fogg will present a solo piano recital on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The 7:30 p.m. event will be held in the University’s Thomas Recital Hall, located in Tarr Music Center on campus. The program, which is free and open to the public, will include works by Bach-Liszt, Shubert, Liebermann and Rachmaninoff. The Jefferson City event is the first of five upcoming performances for Fogg who has scheduled performances in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. Fogg is an associate professor of music and director of keyboard studies at Carson-Newman. He is a native Texan and holds degrees in piano performance from the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Houston, and East Texas Baptist University. He maintains an active performing schedule, presenting solo recitals regularly throughout the United States. In addition, he has collaborated with the Blair String Quartet and has appeared as concerto soloist with the Knoxville Wind Symphony.
