Henrietta Jenkins Memorial Homecoming Poetry Reading

Please join us for the annual Henrietta Jenkins Memorial Homecoming Poetry Reading in the Appalachian Cultural Center. This year, we welcome Jim Minick, the author or editor of eight books, including “The Intimacy of Spoons.” His work has appeared in the New York Times, Oxford American, Orion, Shenandoah, Appalachian Journal, Wind, and The Sun. Minick’s honors include the Chaffin Award, the Jean Ritchie Fellowship, and the Fred Chappell Fellowship at UNC-Greensboro. He lives in the mountains of Virginia.

Event runs from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6th.
