Job Title: Dual Enrollment and Student Success Academic Advisor

Department: Student Success

Reports To: Director of Dual Enrollment and Dean of Student Success

Location: On-site/hybrid

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Annual duration: 12-month

Expected hours per week: 37.50

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Summary Description: Advise and support the C-N dual enrollment and undergraduate students and families.

Essential Functions:

Functional Description:

  • Advise dual enrollment students and guide students/families to the correct departments in times of need and support
  • Advise undergraduate deciding students
  • Coach and advise ASE students
  • Coach undergraduate students on academic probation and warning
  • Meet with early alert referrals
  • Participate in establishing goals for Student Success and Dual Enrollment
  • Participate in planning and implementation of Dual Enrollment, Student Success, and Admissions-sponsored activities
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Dual Enrollment and Dean of Student Success
  • Cultivate relationships with high schools, homeschools, and co-ops
  • Provide dual enrollment administrative support and assist with registration, rosters, and tracking forms, and materials

Education: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field

Experience: Experience in advising students, customer service, administrative skills, and a preferred homeschool background/knowledge of co-op organizations.

Required Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and positively orally and in writing. Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively. Proficient with computer systems to effectively create and review documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Familiarity with Student Information Systems (e.g., Colleague), institutional web portals for student advising, and course enrollment.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. Must be able to access and navigate campus facilities.
