category: Campus News Chitwood Scholarships go to Satterfield, Hodge, and Gordon category: Campus News | April 29, 2012 Shawn Gordon, Rachel Hodge, and Taylor Satterfield were each awarded Howard & JoAnn Chitwood Mathematics Scholarship for school year 2012-13. The scholarship honors Professor Emeritus of Mathematics, Dr. Howard Chitwood, and his wife JoAnn. Dr. Chitwood served a distinguished career in the mathematics department from 1957-1995, and Mrs. Chitwood was an administrator in the alumni office. Both continue to be active supporters of our students and the work of the college.
