“BOOnett” offers safe trick-or-treat alternative for kids

Students welcome children of the community to “Candy Land” during last year’s “Boonett” event. This year’s theme surrounds films from Pixar.

(Oct. 17, 2016) — The ladies of Carson-Newman University’s Burnett Residence Hall invite children and their families to the annual “BOOnett” trick-or-treat event for Thursday, October 27 from 5–7 p.m.

“BOOnett” is a community-wide event planned and hosted by residents of Carson-Newman’s Burnett Residence Hall each year. It provides a safe and fun environment for children to enjoy all the fun of Halloween in one place.

This year’s theme is “Pixar.” Students will decorate the halls to fit the theme of many beloved Pixar films. Children and families from the community are invited to enjoy games, food, and trick-or-treating from hall to hall. This event is free and open to the public.

Burnett Residence Hall is located along Russell Ave. on Carson-Newman’s campus.
