A Cappella Choir to present Home Concert March 14

(March 6, 2019) JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman University’s A Cappella Choir will present its Spring Home Concert on Thursday, March 14. The 7:30 p.m. event will be hosted at Jefferson City’s First Baptist Church.

Billed as a night of worship, the concert marks the choir’s final performance of its 2019 tour. The evening is free and open to the public.

Carson-Newman’s A Cappella has upheld the spring tour tradition since 1946. Since becoming conductor of the choir in 1983, Dr. Eric Thorson has led his ensembles to perform with the Atlanta, Fort Wayne, New Orleans, Knoxville Symphony and Chamber Orchestras; hosted noted British musicians John Rutter and Noel Tredinnick; and toured Europe, Brazil and the Holy Land.
