Hundreds join “Praying for C-N,” University asks alumni and friends to consider joining effort

Those who commit to praying for C-N daily receive a brick with their name along the University's Prayer Walk. Located at the center of campus, the walkway serves as encouragement to the campus community.

Since its launch in 2021, hundreds have signed-up to receive a daily “Praying for C-N” email with specific C-N prayer requests. These prayer warriors commit to pray each day for the University, its students and employees.

“I am convinced that the world has never needed Carson-Newman graduates any more than the world needs them today,” said President Charles A. Fowler during Spring Commencement. “Knowing these students are leaving Carson-Newman with a distinctive Christ-centered education that has equipped them to be difference makers as educated citizens and worldwide servant-leaders gives me great joy and hope.”

As the University walks alongside students pursuing God’s calling for their lives, alumni and friends are asked to consider praying for the University and its Christ-centered mission.

For those who commit to praying daily for Carson-Newman, a brick with their name will be added to the “Prayer Walk” located in the heart of campus. These bricks serve as an encouraging reminder to the C-N campus community that they are prayed over each day.
