(July 12, 2016) – Carson-Newman University’s Women of Vision (WOV) organization held its annual Back to the Creek Weekend earlier this month. WOV guests had several options for fun, fellowship and campus service projects. The annual weekend restoration project on Saturday focused on the University’s Campus Ministries House and Safety and Security Office. In its fifth year, WOV is a philanthropic organization that seeks to enhance areas of the University benefiting students and the college experience. Members have significantly impacted campus through projects and initiatives in a relatively short time. The group not only raises money for various initiatives, but also volunteers time to help with their completion. Campus enhancements have included renovations of the University’s Appalachian Cultural Center, the lobby of Dougherty Science Center, and the addition of a Fireside Reading Room in the University’s library.
