Carson-Newman’s Kappa Beta Xi welcomes new members

(April 15, 2015) – Carson-Newman University’s Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Department recently held its annual initiation ceremony for its Kappa Beta Xi Chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu National Honor Society. The March 30 event was hosted at the University’s Blye-Poteat Hall. New initiates included (pictured seated, left to right): Dr. Amber Roth, assistant FCS professor, Jennifer Holloway, Kassidi Harper, Emily Wood and Kaitlyn Cupples (not pictured).

Also in attendance were chapter members and FCS faculty representatives including (second row, left to right) Dr. Diana Carroll, Andrea Christie, Dr. Kim Johnson, Rebecca Henson, Brooke Fillmore, Dr. Heather Whaley, Chelsea Buchanan, Dr. Cathy Bush, Hannah Jones, Tammy Hickle, and Dr. Kitty Coffey.

Carson-Newman’s Kappa Beta Xi Chapter is the recipient of 25 national Kappa Omicron Nu Chapter Excellence Awards, more than any other chapter since the award originated.
