category: Campus News Drama headlines spring theatre lineup category: Campus News | January 10, 2014 Carson-Newman theatre students rehearse during last year’s production of “Leaving Iowa.” (Jan. 10, 2014) – Carson-Newman University’s theatre program recently announced its production lineup for this spring. “The spring is going to be a season of award-winning productions,” said Kyle Biery, Carson-Newman’s theatre program coordinator and assistant professor of theatre. “I am really excited about the quality of writing we have.” Productions such as February’s “Doubt, A Parable” by John Patrick Shanley claimed a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award, while “The Diary of Anne Frank” by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett has won numerous theatre accolades. Doubt, A Parable – February 13–14, Phoenix Theatre The Diary of Anne Frank – February 27–March 2, Gentry Auditorium 12 Angry Men – April 24–26, Phoenix Theatre Tickets for each production are $8 for general admission, $5 students/ C-N employees, as well as seniors (60+).
