Dr. David Crutchley to headline BHCTI Fall Colloquy

Carson-Newman’s Dr. David Crutchley will be the featured speaker at B.H. Carroll Theological Institute’s Fall Colloquy in Arlington, Texas. The event, “Being Fully Human: A Spirituality Out of Africa,” is November 12-14, and is designed for the institute’s doctoral students, but is also open to the public.

Crutchley, who serves as chair of C-N’s Department of Religion and is a native of Zimbabwe, will explore lessons that can be learned from African spirituality in terms of faith, religion, and humanity.

A C-N faculty member since 2004, Crutchley earned both the Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Rhodesia. He continued is education as Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. He served on the International Mission Board for 14 years in Cape Town, South Africa. He has published many articles in the areas of New Testament studies, spiritual formation and missions.
