On Tuesday evening, January 29, Ruth Graham spoke to Carson-Newman students and members of the community as part of C-N’s 32nd annual Ashe-Henderson Lectures. The evening lecture entitled “Who Are You? What God Says” focused on the components of a healthy self-image, which include a sense of belonging, worth and purpose.

“Our worth is not what we do, where we go, or who we know,” said Graham, adding, “but our worth comes from God alone.”

The evening event was the second installment of a five-part series that week.

Graham, the third child of Rev. Billy and Ruth Bell Graham, is founder and president of Ruth Graham & Friends. She is the author of several books, and serves as honorary chair of Carson-Newman’s Women of Vision.
