Carson-Newman Theatre opens their 2022-23 season with Theatre for Young Audiences production of Cinderella Confidential by Eric Coble. The fast-paced production puts a fun spin on the timeless classic as two investigative reporters—Deb Jabber (Helen Donahue) from Action News Day Now and Sonny Glamour (Rebecca Payne) from Glitter Kingdom Today—compete for the scoop of the century. Just who is the woman behind the glass slipper? Interviewing everybody from a fairy godmother in desperate need of a day-planner (Alexis Christensen) to mice in the witness protection program (Alicia Reeves), Deb and Sonny will chase the story wherever they need to find—and TELL—the truth. Completing the cast of quirky fairytale characters are the prince (Eli Hancock), Cinderella (Sarahgrace Triplett), Pinocchio (Arianna Young), the shoemaker (Julia Payne) and his elf (Madison Dyer). Performances are Sept 15-17 at 7pm and Sept 18 at 2pm. Tickets are available online or at the door. $8 Adults, $5 students/C-N faculty and staff/seniors 60+, $3 children under 12.
