Carson-Newman’s Underwood to give Oct. 26 Knoxville poetry reading

(Oct. 22, 2014) –Carson-Newman University Professor of English and poet Dr. Susan O’Dell Underwood will give a poetry reading at Knoxville’s Union Avenue Books on Sunday, Oct. 26. The 3 p.m. reading, which is free and open to the public, will feature works from Underwood’s new book, “Love and Other Hungers,” published by Sapling Grove Press. Underwood serves as director of Carson-Newman’s Creative Writing Program.

Also reading will be poets Felicia Mitchell and Rita Sims Quillen. Union Avenue Books is located at 517 Union Ave.
