College fair to feature more than 20 regional institutions

Carson-Newman University Assistant Director of Freshmen Admissions Spenser Smith and Admissions Representative Jessi Hesseldahl give a “talons up” gesture from behind a display of admission materials like those that will be available from more than 20 institutions at the Oct. 1 college fair.

(Sept. 22, 2020) JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — High school students have the opportunity to learn more about many of the region’s institutions for higher learning during an upcoming event.

Carson-Newman University will host a college fair from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1.

The event will feature more than 20 regional institutions, including Christian, state and community colleges. The college fair will take place in the three-gym area of the Maddox Student Activities Center on campus to allow for social distancing.

Students must register for one of three sessions to attend the event and may only bring one guest. All attendees, including college representatives, will be expected to wear masks. Hand sanitizing stations will be available.

With so many college access events being limited due to the pandemic, this is a great chance to see some regional options while still following health and safety measures that are necessary during these unusual times,” said Kate Doyle, C-N’s director of freshman admissions.

Spots are limited. Register online at: www.cn.edu/collegefair
