category: Campus News University records largest spring enrollment category: Campus News | February 7, 2017 (Feb. 7, 2017) – Carson-Newman University welcomes 2017 with its largest spring enrollment in the school’s history – 2,500 students. In addition, the University posted its largest graduate enrollment, welcoming 855 students into graduate programs. “We couldn’t be more pleased with this news,” said Dr. Paul Percy, Carson-Newman University Provost. “Over the past three years, our total student enrollment has grown by 26 percent and our graduate enrollment has more than doubled. We are excited about what the future holds for all our students as well as our University.” Since spring 2011, Carson-Newman has recorded 11 consecutive semesters of increased enrollment among its graduate students. Last fall the University recorded its largest total enrollment ever. Founded in 1851, Carson-Newman is located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, among the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The University has over 2,600 students and offers 50 undergraduate majors, as well as associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees.
