category: Campus News University’s “BOOnett” offers safe trick-or-treat alternative category: Campus News | October 26, 2015 (Oct. 26, 2015) — The ladies of Carson-Newman University’s Burnett Residence Hall invite children and their families to their annual “BOOnett” trick-or-treat event for Thursday, October 29 at 5 p.m. “BOOnett” is a community-wide event planned and hosted by residents of Carson-Newman’s Burnett Residence Hall each year. It provides a safe and fun environment for children to enjoy all the fun of Halloween in one place. Burnett’s residents provide free candy, food and a themed party atmosphere for area children. Residence halls across campus have been pitching in, taking part in a “Candy Wars” drive to make certain all guests will get their fill of treats. The event lasts until 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Burnett Residence Hall is located along Russell Ave. on Carson-Newman’s campus.
