Eagle Scholars 2015

(September 1, 2015) – Carson-Newman University recently welcomed some 125 student-athletes into its Eagle Scholars Program. The group marked the program’s third class inducted since it began in 2013. The inaugural class was composed of 72 student-athletes.

The Eagle Scholars Program recognizes academic achievements among Carson-Newman student-athletes. Carson-Newman is the only school in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) to have such a program. To become an Eagle Scholar, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Eagle Scholars receive a patch to wear on their uniforms during the regular season competition.

Carson-Newman is the only school in the South Atlantic Conference to offer such a program.
