University announces annual Mossy Creek Documentary Arts Festival, March 18

(March 9, 2015) – Carson-Newman University will hold its annual Mossy Creek Documentary Arts Festival, Wednesday, March 18.

Free and open to the public, the event will feature work by Carson-Newman film students as well as professional documentary filmmakers. Films include the premiere of Zac Adam’s “Autism in America,” and a preview of Keith McDaniel’s upcoming film “Alvin Weinberg.”

The Mossy Creek Documentary Arts Festival screens documentary shorts and features for the campus and community. It is a place for students, faculty, filmmakers, photographers, and the general public to share in stories and consider important issues facing the region and the world. Past festivals have featured Academy Award-winning filmmakers and compelling new documentary projects.

The festival will be held in Carson-Newman’s Phoenix Theatre, located in Henderson Humanities Building. Seating is limited.
